Chipped Arri II and III mirror shutters can be repaired with epoxy and black
paint. Epoxy is lighter than glass, but has held up for us up to 80 FPS. Mirror
scratches can be OK if the back side of the mirror is well blacked.
If the old Arri 35 200 foot magazines jams, be careful removing the brass gear.
It has bearings not in races and can get lost and be difficult to get back together.
Do not remove the shaft from the gear. If you do remove the shaft, the bearings
will fall out. You will have to align the bearings with grease to reassemble.
